Have you ever wanted to know more about native bees and how to attract them to your garden? If so, then join Jenny Deans for a family-friendly workshop on Wednesday, 12 October 2022 at the City of Holdfast Bay - Brighton Civic Centre, 24 Jetty Road, Brighton. Jenny Deans, from Cosmophylla Garden Services, is a passionate gardener and land carer.

The workshop will start at 10:00am and finish at 12:00pm. You will learn about the many varieties of native bees, the special role they play in our environment and how to attract them to your garden. This event is suitable for adults and families. The cost is $10 per ticket and each booking includes one "bee hotel" and a set of plants. If families want to have an additional set of plants and hotel, they need to purchase another $10 ticket.

Your Comment
A relative of mine had a farm in the Murraylands, SA They suddenly discovered some native bees that made their own hive against the wall of a very old house. They set up a bag under the nest / hive where the honey was dripping down and a bucket underneath. Unfortunately a mouse fell in it so it wasn't safe to eat.
