Greenacres Community Garden Inc. on 12 Swan Street, Greenacres, on Saturday, 20 May 2023 from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. In this session, Alan will share practical and cost-effective strategies for creating healthy soil, making your own compost, propagating from cuttings, and creating chemical-free garden sprays.

To participate in this community event, please ensure that you wear appropriate work clothing and please bring thick gardening gloves, secateurs/loppers and also a water bottle. Looking after Waterways Information Session - WillungaGreen Adelaide's Team Leader Water Projects will talk about the importance of healthy waterways, how to identify problems, what to plant and to pull out, and what your responsibilities are as a property owner.

Freshwater Turtle Conservation Workshop at Big BendCome to
Big Bend By Night for turtle talks and practical demonstrations of how you can be part of turtle conservation. Located at
Big Bend By Night, 78 Preiss Landing Road, Sunnydale, this workshop will be held on
Friday, 26 May 2023, starting from 12.30 pm to 4 pm. This workshop will demonstrate ways that you can get involved through citizen science and on-ground conservation initiatives, including the National Nest Predation Survey, as well as give you an overview of local turtle species and what we can all do to assist with this conservation program.

Seaford Wetland's Community Garden Social and Biodiversity Planting Day
Located at
Seaford Road, Seaford, come and join Seaford Wetland's Community Garden Social on Sunday, 28 May 2023, starting at 9.30 am to 2 pm. This event will be combined with Seaford Wetlands' Biodiversity Planting Day.
This is the chance to get to know your community gardeners, hear about amazing progress of this community garden, enjoy a lovely morning tea and buy some plants. You can also help to plant native seedlings in the wetlands, learn about urban biodiversity, and meet some like-minded people. This project will contribute to the Seaford Wetlands Urban Biodiversity Project. This project aims to improve the Seaford Wetlands and create a cooler, greener, and more biodiverse space for wildlife and for people.
Please bring yourself a chair, cash for plant stall/donations., some drinking water, gardening gloves, and a trowel. Wear protective/weather appropriate clothing and closed shoes. Please book
