The event is on
Saturday 20 March 2021 from 10am-11am at Varsity Lakes. You'll learn Indigenous skills and experience the indigenous culture through ochre painting with real ochre, an emu story, fire making, a story with fire sticks, emu feather hair decorations and boomerang and spear throwing with a woomera.
The City of Gold Coast NaturallyGC program connects the Gold Coast community to nature through free and low cost workshops, activities and events. The program offers more than 800 free and low cost environment-based workshops and activities that cater for all ages from guided bush walks, nature play for kids, tree planting, citizen science, environmental educational workshops, nature photography, wildlife shows, bush tucker and more. The program is also packed with ideas and parks to enjoy sustainable nature-based recreation.
