On Saturday the 6th of September 2014 there's going to be a native plant sale at Wilson Botanic Park (668 Princes Hwy) in Berwick from 9am to 4pm. Entry will be free, so come on down and check out the range of beautiful Australian plants and make them a part of your garden.


This is the 15th annual Australian native plant sale held by the Australian Plants Society. There will be a wide variety of native plant stalls, food stalls, kids craft activities, a specialist book stall, native flower display, raffles and a guessing competition to keep everyone entertained.


Dedicated to promoting the growing and conservation of Aussie natives in gardens, community areas and in their original environments, The Australian Plants Society Wilson Park (Berwick) Inc. hold monthly meetings with a speaker on a variety of topics that are plant and garden related. They also have a monthly working bee at the Wilson Park garden. Their emblem 'The Running Postman' (Kennedia prostrata) is indigenous to the area and is a nectar source for butterflies and a food source for caterpillars.
