Explore Marino Community Garden & Learn About Native Bees
City of Marion's 'Valuing Marion's Nature' series will run throughout April 2019, presenting events and activities to assist participants to 'connect with nature and learn about natural environments in the City of Marion'.

One such event is the 'Native Bees and Wild Pollinators' workshop, being held on Sunday, 7 April 2019, from 10am until 12pm in Marino Community Garden. This workshop is free, with limited places available (10 at time of writing this article) - so book early via Eventbrite, to learn about native bees and other wild pollinators. Be taken on a guided walk through Marino Community Garden and Newland Reserve and learn about the role native bees and other wild pollinators play in conservation and food security - learn how to identify and attract them to your garden and take the opportunity to get further involved in citizen science by joining the national 'Wild Pollinator Count'.
