When the opportunity of beautiful vintage clothing and other items come to the historical Como House and Garden, you make sure you don't miss out!

The vintage clothing sale is back with even more clothing and accessories than before. The 18th and 19th March 2017 from 10am to 4pm are the dates and times and the address is corner of Williams Road and Lechlade Avenue, South Yarra. Entry is $2.

All items are real vintage and carefully curated that you won't find anywhere else. All donated, items are of the highest quality with some being particularly rare. From everyday clothes to formal garments, hats, gloves, belts, handbags, scarves, jewellery, fashion books, materials and collectibles, you'll find it here. Items are for men, women and children, so there's something for everyone.

All proceeds from the sale go towards critical conservation projects, furniture and furnishings for Como House.

Follow the conversation on the event page that's bound to make the vintage lover salivate. Some of the big designer names for this year's sale include Max Mara, Akris, Armani, Sally Brown, Jot, Ferragamo, Liberty and Oroton. There's a cream embroidered dress featured in the discussion by Australian fashion designer, Prue Acton who during the 1960s was often referred to as "Australia's golden girl of fashion."

With over 800 scarves and 300 pieces of costume jewellery, prices start at $5 with most items ranging between $30 and $100 plus a few more expensive items; cash and card are both accepted.

Como House is also a great venue for weddings and other special events. This historical house is worth a visit and the next batch of tours run from the 25th of March till the 8th of April.

During the Australian Heritage Festival (19 April to 17 May), special tours will be run, which give voice to the servants who lived and worked there. Find out what they did, who they were and what their life was like.

All tours run on 'select dates' within the timeframes mentioned above, so be sure to check the website and put the dates in your diary.
