The National Tree Day organisation is combining with Schools Tree Day group to make Australia's biggest tree planting and nature care event. This will be occuring on 2 August at the Tamala Park Waste Management Facility on Marmion Ave in Tamala, in the northern suburbs.

The planting will be from 9.00am to 1.30pm. This is a day for all families to get together and show their children how we all can improve the environment around us by planting and caring for native trees and shrubs. The benefits are the plants will provide suitable food and habitat for local wildlife and they support the local plant communities.

Before the plantings begin, there will be a short environmental induction of the site. Then after the planting has finished, as a thank you to those who participated, a sausage sizzle with salad and drinks will be provided.

Bookings are required to assist catering by 29 July.
You can contact either Gary Smith on 93066320 or Peg Davis on 0422941492.
