will be celebrated on Sunday 30th July 2023. It is Australia's largest community tree-planting event and attracts around 300,000 volunteers every year. The amazing folks at Planet Ark estimate that over
26 million plants have been sprouted since the annual event started in 1996! Join the movement and help make your community greener.
Planting trees can help decrease air pollution, lower outdoor temperatures, and provide habitat to local wildlife. According to
The Nature Conservancy , trees are effective at curbing the effects of heat waves in urban environments. And of course, the lush greenery is great to look at too!

Native Plant Giveaway in Concord
Have a balcony or outdoor step that a native plant can call home? Come along and pick up a free plant that the local species in your area will love. The giveaway takes place at 10:00am to 12:00pm (or until they run out!)

Reid Park, Mosman Bay
Join the Mosman Municipal Council in regenerating the vegetation in Reid Park. Help improve the local area to support native wildlife. The event runs from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Gloves, equipment, drinking water and snacks will be provided.

Burns Bay Reserve, Lane Cove
Spend your afternoon planting native shrubs and groundcovers to provide a sustainable local habitat. Volunteers can enjoy a free BBQ and take home seedlings. You will need to bring gloves and wear a hat, suitable clothing and closed shoes to participate.

Evatt Park Tree Planting, Lugarno
Help plant 400 seedlings in Evatt Park and learn about native bushcare. Organised by the Lugarno Progress Association (LPA), the event runs from 10am to 2pm and will include a free sausage sizzle. Volunteers are asked to bring their own gloves, water bottle and hat.

Mass Tree-Planting Event in India
