Australia's largest tree planting and nature care event, join the community to help plant one million native trees. National Tree Day is on Sunday 28 July 2024, however the Schools Tree Day is Friday 26 July and Tropical Tree Day is Sunday 1 December. Planet Ark's National Tree Day started in 1996 and has grown by leaps and bounds. It's a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to the community. There are lots of ways for you to be involved in greening your community and making a difference to your local environment. Whether planting at a local park, garden, reserve, bushland or foreshore area, there are lots of ways for you to do your part. Being in nature is also good for your health and wellbeing! Having a dedicated day to plant a tree (or more) gets us all out and into our beautiful landscapes. You could also help out with The Seedling Bank .
