September 6th for .
Project Numbat is hosting this event, and has collaborated with a range of agencies and not for profit groups that will attend.
Project Numbat is a not-for-profit community group helping to raise awareness and conserve Western Australia's endangered animal emblem, the Numbat.
Numbats are small marsupial animals which have long sticky tongues that allows them pick up termites, which they eat exclusively. The Numbat is under threat from habitat loss and introduced predators like foxes and feral cats. All participating groups will have a stall to highlight their species of interest and how they are working towards their conservation.
The participating groups are: Project Numbat, WWF, CCWA (Conservation Council of WA), Woodland Reserve Whiteman Park, Maroo Wildlife Reserve, WAFA (WA Forest Alliance), Gilbert's Potoroo Action Group, Friends of the Western Swamp Tortoise, Friends of the Western Ground Parrot, and Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre.
