The National Theatre Live (NTL) has already kicked of its third season, now showing at a cinema near you. NTL is a pioneering initiative that broadcasts live performances in Britain to cinemas worldwide.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to see Collaborators, a new play by John Hodge, screenwriter of Trainspotting and Shallow Grave.
Collaborators is showing at selected cinemas around Australia on 14th and 15th January 2012.
Set in Moscow in 1938, Hodge's new play is about the humiliation inflicted on artists by those in power. We follow Mikhail Bulgakov, a play writer, as he embarks on a disturbing relationship with the subject of his play. Mikhail Bulgakov has a sense of humour and a sense of freedom in a time and place when its dangerous to have either, let alone both.
Alex Jennings plays Bulgakov and Simon Russell Beale, Stalin.
