On the cusp of winter comes National Soup Day to keep us all nice and warm. To celebrate Youth Projects and Heinz have teamed to help Melburnians beat the cold. They are serving hearty soups from a retro-style food truck.
These are $2.50, with 100 percent of all proceeds going to charity. Proceeds will support Youth Projects which is an Australian-based, independent organisation that offers support and employment opportunities to at-risk young people and provides on-the-ground medical care and assistance to members of the local community
Winter time is also a chance to spare a thought for those experiencing homelessness and who are doing it tough this Winter.
For those commuters heading home in the increasingly dark and cold evenings, Youth Projects and Heinz have also given you some thought. Giant Heinz beans and soup heaters will be stationed near key public transport locations, offering much-needed warmth and deliciously hot soup samples.
Heaters and samples will be available at Queensbridge Square on Thursday June 7, Friday June 8 and Wednesday June 13 in the afternoon and evening.
