National Science Week 2012 goes off with a big bang on Saturday, August 11th, 2012

The official launch event, to be held at Brisbane's Queen Street Mall on Saturday, August 11th, will be presided by Science Minister, Ros Bates MP, and will feature a day long program of fun, interactive science activities and events for all to enjoy.

This state launch event kick-starts an exciting week long program of mostly free science themed exhibitions, activities, public lectures and workshops occurring in and around Queensland. A range of science topics will be explored and celebrated - from Archaeology and Antiquity, the Human Body and Movement, Energy and Transport, Environment and Nature, Health and Medicine, Space and Astronomy and Innovation and Technology.
