This year's National Police Remembrance Day Service takes place on Thursday, 29 September at the National Police Memorial, Wendouree Drive, Kings Park ACT.
National Police Remembrance Day honours those women and men, from all Australian police jurisdictions, who have been killed on duty or died as a result of their duties. There are currently 808 names on the wall of remembrance at the National Police Memorial with an additional fifteen names to be added this year.
The ACT Policing and Monaro Police District Dawn Service will begin at 5:30am and is followed by the National Service at 5pm. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.
Please note there will be no access to, nor parking available on, Wendouree Drive due to recent changes. Paid parking is available across Parkes Way at Russell Offices and across from the Kings Avenue bridge.
For those who are unable to attend, the event will be live streamed via Vimeo.
