The Multicultural Festival is a HUGE annual event, which will take over the entire city centre between 16th - 18th February. Last year, over 280,000 people attended the festival over the 3 days, enjoying the traditional dances and performances - as well as food from over 400 stalls!
The festival kicks off officially on Friday, 16th February with a free concert in the city with headline acts Leo Sayer and Baker Boy! This concert will be held on Stage 1 in Garema Place, between 5pm - 11:30pm.
On Saturday, 17th February the day begins at 10:30am with a wide range of musical performances on the stages and Masterchef celebrity Poh Ling Leow will cook up a storm. Look out for the Happy Chinese New Year performance, US Showcase, Pacific Island Showcase, African Village, Bellydance Showcase, the Indigenous Showcase and the vibrant and exciting Parade! This is the biggest day of the festival, finishing at midnight.
On Sunday, 18th February the festivities will continue with live music, food stalls and family activities between 10am - 5pm. See the National Multicultural festival website for the full program.
