Tickets are now on sale for the annual National Folk Festival in Exhibition Park Canberra. For five whole days people from all around Australia and the world gather to share dance, song and tunes from many differing aspects of Australian Folk culture.
Hundreds of performances are on daily across twenty two venues as well as workshops.
Come sing, dance and play.
There are four wine bar restaurants, over thirty food stalls and three bars. The kiddies are catered for too with professional childcare and a children's festival.
If you feel like getting you dancing tail on there are various workshops including folk style dance lessons for beginner through to advanced. Or you can just sit back, relax and watch the dance displays.
With over 60 craft stalls, there is something for everyone - from singing drums, jewellery or just a gorgeous frock. Maybe you would just enjoy listening to a good ol' fashioned yarn or poetry with the World Poetry Debate and Come-all-ye Poets' Breakfasts.
Tickets can be bought for the entire 5 day season and camping as well as for just the day or an evening. Don't have a tent? There is an already established tent city.
Over 1400 people are needed to run the festival and most of them are volunteers. Free entry and camping to the festival. If you are interested volunteering click here.
