Celebrate National Flag Day
Each year, on the first Saturday of September, the 11th Light Horse, which is based at the Caboolture Historical Village celebrates National Flag Day, and this year it will be one of special celebration. It is recognised around Australia as one of the biggest celebrations of our national flag. This year, on Saturday September 5th, the Village, at 280 Beerburrum Road, has many attractions.

Entry to the village is FREE from 8.45 am until 12 noon, and there will also be a FREE morning tea at various spots around the village.

There will be a flag raising ceremony, and a procession around the village, with the Laurie Young Marching Band, military vehicles, horses and more.

The Hoo Ha Swing Ensemble will be in the village to entertain with their range of music from gypsy to numbers influenced by the great American Songbook.

The new Military Aviation Museum will be officially opened and it will be the Third Annual former ADF Cadets Reunion and the 7th Annual Vintage Military Vehicle Show.
