There are so many things that need batteries these days that there are many people who don't even bother checking them. This is bad, because when batteries die out you sometimes don't remember it needs batteries and just throw it out. National Check Your Batteries Day, yes this is an actual national holiday, is a way to remember that just because something isn't working doesn't mean it's broken. This crucial holiday is on March 14, each year.

With all this being said are you wondering how you are going to observe National Check Your Batteries Day? If you need a push to get a feel for what you could do, keep reading.

The first few things that could easily need a battery change are: your smoke detector, alarm clock, flash light, camera, toothbrush, Xbox and Wii controllers, TV remotes, and calculators. These things can be very important and some of them could save your life, whether from a fire or your boss.

As you can see these are very helpful things that are used often, but need batteries to work. If you are going to celebrate this holiday and want to go crazy, then find everything in your house that needs batteries and change them! You very well may be surprised at how much better things could work!
