CanTeen Australia 's National Bandanna Day on 26 October 2018 is a major fundraiser that supports young people affected by cancer. Through CanTeen and specialist youth-specific treatment teams, young people are supported in learning to cope with all aspects of cancer and connect with other young people in the same boat. Make a difference in the lives of young people, simply by purchasing bandannas or making a donation .

You can also volunteer on the day, to hit the streets and sell bandannas, so no young person has to face cancer alone. Simply register to help raise funds, for support services to continue for young people all over Australia, living with cancer. You can also fundraise online by creating a fundraiser page online, and getting your local community, family and friends, work colleagues, schools and such like involved. There are tips and tools , along with ideas , to support your generous efforts.

The sale of 10 bandannas provides a young person with one hour of professional or online counselling; 30 bandannas (half a box) provides six young people with an information resource to guide them through the challenges of living with cancer; 60 (a full box) means two young people can attend a recreation day, which allows them to take a break from the daily pressures of living with cancer and 120 bandannas (2 boxes) covers the assessment of three young people, where their emotional wellbeing is monitored over a course of time from first becoming a member of CanTeen and six months down the track.
