Spring is the perfect time to get outside and visit one of Canberra's newest attractions. The is a great place to visit with children with it's hugely popular Pod Playground or self-guided walks suitable for different levels of fitness.

The is situated on a 618 acre site and is home to over 35,000 trees with species from over 100 countries. The Sprout Cafe is a great place to grab a coffee before heading to the Pod Playground. With discovery trails, climbing walls and large pods to climb into this popular playground is best visited early in the day before hordes of children descend to claim part of it for their own.

If you want something a little more tranquil then one of the three self-guided walks are a great way to get some exercise and admire the views over Canberra. If you take the Himalayan cedars to Cork oaks walk, you will discover a wonderful deck with seating that makes a perfect secluded picnic location.

The is also a great venue for a unique wedding, meeting or conference dinner in the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion. Or for a smaller number of guests you can have lunch at The Conservatory Restaurant or breakfast on weekends.

The is a great location for exercise, play or food and every member of the family will find something to keep them occupied. If you are looking for ideas to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays they also run school holiday programs.
