Che pizza
For pizza lovers in the know, Naopli in Bocca in Haberfield is one of the standards, with wood fired traditional perfection.

Literally Naples in the mouth, the pizzas are traditional cuisine of Naples. There are other offerings on the menu, but for us, you just can't go past the pizzas.

Starting simply, but one of the favourites, the Caprese, with tomato, bocconcini, basil & olive oil. It's delicious yet no strong flavours - pure and fresh.

My kids love the Carnevale (but without the anchovies), which includes tomato, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, olives and capsicum.

The other favourite with the kids is the 4 Stagioni, which plys protein galore with tomato, mozzarella, prosiutto crudo, olives, mushrooms & eggs. Definitely not for those on a diet!

My recommendation is the Scugnizzo, with tomato, mozzarella, ham & hot salami. As I'm not Italian, I take the liberty of asking for olives too. The salami adds a bit of kick to it.

In a nod to the Australian influences, they do offer a Tropicale, so if your little ones want ham & pineapple, it's there.

While they are BYO wine only, they have a good range of beers, and it's nice to accompany the food with a Moretti.

So for taste of Italy without the airfares, head over to Haberfield. Napoli in Bocca is very popular with families and large groups so bookings are recommended. In Italian, there is a saying "che pizza". It can meant 2 things: you've either got the best Italian pizza in front of you, or you find yourself confronted with something particularly boring. At Napoli in Bocca, it only means one thing! Che pizza!

They all look wonderful, but the simplicity of the mozzarella is very eye catching.
