This will be a stunning garden and flower festival
Nannup is a small country town and is the gateway to the beautiful Blackwood Valley and Southern Forests. The town has natural attractions such as this River and its historic streets are lined with magnificent deciduous trees. The undulating green hills and the mist on the river, give Nannup a rather "mystical" quality at times! Nannup is a drive of just under 3 hours from Perth City.

They will be having their annual Nannup Flower and Garden Festival again, from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th August, 2018.

Here there will be stunning floral displays as well as children's activities, market stalls and choir performances. The festival is in its 22nd year and is a four-day event. This year, the festival's resident gardening celebrity is Costa Georgiadis – the man with the large beard.

Costa will be live on the main stage and will be getting his message of sustainability, the environment, education, love, happiness, and permaculture, across to all. As always, there will be a host of special guests attending the festival and some of these include:

Well known TV personality, Costa Georgiadis - Costa is an extroverted change maker, a lover of nature and, a teacher. He is also the host of the ABC's Gardening Australia programme.

A landscape architect and permaculturalist, Costa's real passion is food. He has an infectious personality and is able to relate to people's needs.

Sabrina Hahn - is a favourite of the festival! Sabrina Hahn is a master gardener, storyteller and horticulturalist. She has a passion for the "creation of sustainable environments".

Sabrina believes that when people connect with their gardens, they develop a deeper love for nature and life.

Guy Jeffreys - has worked in some of WA's most awarded restaurants, including Leeuwin Estate and Star Anise.

Guy grows his own vegetables from seeds that have been saved from the previous year's crop. His menus change according to what is seasonably available.

Deryn Thorpe - is a fanatical gardener, who is passionate about communicating her love of gardening to others.

Steve Wood - is a horticulturist who has been working in the nursery industry for 40 years. He is the owner of Wood's Cottage Nursery and presenter with Chanel Nines Garden Gurus.

Josh Whiteland - was born in Busselton and provides guests with the opportunity to taste native foods, discover bush medicine and experience traditional fire lighting.
