This will be a stunning garden and flower festival
Nannup is a small country town and is the gateway to the beautiful Blackwood Valley and Southern Forests. The town has natural attractions such as this River and its historic streets are lined with magnificent deciduous trees. The undulating green hills and the mist on the river, give Nannup a rather "mystical" quality at times! Nannup is a drive of just under 3 hours from Perth City.
They will be having their annual Nannup Flower and Garden Festival again, from Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th August, 2018.
Here there will be stunning floral displays as well as children's activities, market stalls and choir performances. The festival is in its 22nd year and is a four-day event. This year, the festival's resident gardening celebrity is Costa Georgiadis the man with the large beard.
Costa will be live on the main stage and will be getting his message of sustainability, the environment, education, love, happiness, and permaculture, across to all. As always, there will be a host of special guests attending the festival and some of these include:
Well known TV personality, Costa Georgiadis - Costa is an extroverted change maker, a lover of nature and, a teacher. He is also the host of the ABC's Gardening Australia programme.
Josh Whiteland - was born in Busselton and provides guests with the opportunity to taste native foods, discover bush medicine and experience traditional fire lighting.

There will be heaps of tips and ideas for your garden and everything you can grow in it! There will be a wide range of events, many of which are FREE! There is a small admission charge for the Great Hall of Flowers, with the admission price for seniors discounted across the entire festival weekend!
Gardening personalities Sabrina Hahn and Deryn Thorpe will be wandering through local gardens, as well as taking tours along the banks of the Blackwood River.
Chefs, Guy Jeffreys, Alysha Sladden and Mark Pipkin are back by popular demand and they will be making delicious meals with ingredients harvested straight from the garden.
