Nanna says "whats a chain store?" and reminds us that cooking, sewing, baking and growing can be just as groovy as the high street, as a brand new handmade and homemade market celebrating old school handicrafts with a contemporary edge arrives in Chelsea, Melbourne's South East, on 14 December 2013.
Nanna Cool, Markets with Craftitude is the first of its kind in the area, located on the beach side of the Nepean Highway at Chelsea Activity Hub, 3 Showers Avenue, Chelsea, just a short stroll from arguably one of the best sandy shores found within Port Phillip Bay.
This particular Nanna Cool, The Market with Craftitude, will be a Christmas extravaganza event, with stallholders selling handicrafts, candles, homemade and homebaked goods to buy for the festive season, as well as hands on Christmas entertainment and fun for the whole family to enjoy.
There will also be the opportunity to buy real Christmas trees helping to raise funds for the Scouts. Pre-orders with upfront payment preferred as only a very limited number of trees may be available on the day. Pickup on market day only.
No need to leave the whipper snappers at home, the Christmas Elf is coming to Nanna Cool Christmas Market. Bring the kids down to meet the Elf making Christmas toys in the Craftshop. They'll be an opportunity for children to have their photograph taken in the winter wonderland and join in with decorating some yummy home baked gingerbread.
Nanna Cool, Markets with Craftitude will run between 10am and 2pm, with a $2 gold coin entry to the public. Nanna says you'd better head down to Chelsea to enjoy Nanna Cool's Christmas festivities and you'd better "make it snappy!"
