Just like nana made
After staying the night at the Kenilworth Hotel, we ventured forth early in the morning for a good country style breakfast. We were glad to find just that, combined with a side of country hospitality at Nana McGinn's.
Set on the main street of town, this delightful little cafe is the perfect spot to sit back and watch the passing traffic of Kenilworth. Opening at 6am for breakfast, even on the weekends, it was the perfect spot for us to fuel ourselves up for a long day of 4wd-ing.
The menu is fairly standard fair, so if you are looking for vegetable stacks or corn cakes you're not going to find them here. What they do have though is good honest, homestyle food that will definitely not leave you hungry. I went for bacon and eggs and the other half went for sausages and eggs. Both were very tasty and came with housemade bread and tomato relish.
The staff are all super friendly and helpful and, even though they were quite busy on this particular Sunday, service was prompt. The coffee was good and there was such an impressive array of homemade sweets in the window I'll definitely be finding a way of stopping for morning tea next time I'm in that neck of the woods.
