VOICE TREATY TRUTH
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held around the country each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

VOICE. TREATY. TRUTH.
VOICE. TREATY. TRUTH.

During Naidoc week, our community is invited to walk with indigenous people in a movement of the Australian people for a better future. The Indigenous voice of this country is over 65,000 plus years old. Languages have been passed down lore, culture and knowledge for over millennia. They are precious to our nation. And with 2019 being celebrated as the United Nations International Year of Indigenous Languages, it's time for this knowledge to be heard.

The theme for the 2019 Naidoc week is Voice. Treaty. Truth. Which are three key elements to the reforms set out in the Uluru Statement from the Heart.

There are many fine local events celebrating Naidoc Week in Aldinga.
