NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. At the Belconnen Arts Centre, on the shores of Lake Ginninderra, they will be celebrating with a family day out with live performances, food stalls, jumping castle, film screenings and craft activities for the kids. There will also be traditional weaving and storytelling around the camp-fire for all ages to enjoy. The day starts at 11am and finishes at 3pm.
See the Belconnen Arts Centre website for all the details.
