I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Japanese Restaurant At Honeysuckle
Nagisa is a taste of Japan in the Honeysuckle precinct of Newcastle. Having dined here many times we always enjoy the quality of the fresh ingredients, the presentation, service and the location.

The lunch menu offers a variety of traditional Japanese fare whereas dinner offers dishes that highlight the cuisine in a modern way. Many different sakes and craft beers are available as well as a range of wines, spirits and teas.

The decor is minimal but comfortable and during lunch service the al fresco area is always well used due to its view of the river and cool breezes.

For Tuesday lunch the Bento boxes are great value at $22 including a soft drink or miso soup. The seafood box is full of fresh tasty delights such as tempura prawns and teriyaki salmon.
Sit back and enjoy the friendly service, food and view with tea or a sake or two.
