Nagambie On Water Festival connects families & communities
Before I take off on a weekend away or holiday, I research the internet to find interesting places in the area that I would like to visit. Visitor Information Centres also provide a wealth of knowledge for local areas and Councils are always promoting their regions on their websites.
Nagambie is a small town in the State of Victoria, situated on the Goulburn Valley Highway in the Shire of Strathbogie. A main tourist attraction is the Nagambie Lakes, which forms a regional reservoir. The Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre hosts state and national rowing championships as well as many other water sports.
As with most country towns these days, highways have by-passed quaint and interesting places and this is also the case with Nagambie. If you are travelling around Australia or perhaps on a holiday in Victoria, take the time to turn off the highway and drop into Nagambie.
