Adelaide Festival Centre, together with Magic 2 Productions, presents 'Mystique' starring Michael Boyd the Illusionist, playing at Her Majesty's Theatre on March 26th.

Produced by internationally acclaimed illusionist Michael Boyd, 'Mystique' is a cocktail of illusion and dance. It features sleight of hand magic, illusion and comedy accompanied with choreographed dance routines.

Michael Boyd is incredible and highly entertaining, producing acts that leave you gasping, wondering how it's even possible. He asks for children volunteers from the audience and turns them into magicians for a night and they also leave with their very own Michael Boyd Magic Kit and DVD instructions on how to do the tricks.

The audience watches him place his duck 'Thurston' in a box and have him suddenly re-appear in a bucket held by one the audience members. He puts his assistant to sleep and spins her on a pole laying vertically in the air. He levitates himself and his assistant into the air and moves a hula-hoop over her body to show their are no strings attached. He's an incredible illusionist whose tricks can't be worked out.

Look out for the locked box above the stage, it's very important later on when he asks three random audience members to name an activity, a city anywhere in the world and a celebrity everyone will know, alive or dead. It's as though he's put the ideas into their heads before they've even realised it.

Keep your eyes on the chest with swords as Boyd enters it chained up and manages to disappear before the swords shut around him in the fire-lit cage. When they open the chest he's gone and reappears in the audience just like magic. Boyd is one of the best illusionists I've seen, he keeps you guessing till the very end.

The Mystique tour featured celebrity guest appearances from Lawson Reeves and Cat Law from Big Brother 2014. Before Lawson made his Big Brother debut he was a magician and has joined Magic 2 Productions to give Adelaide a taste of the magic. Cat dresses up in glitter to act as his apprentice while he dazzles the audience.

The amazing dancers produce breathtaking unison dance moves in gorgeous costumes starring Elizabeth 'Lizzy' Kirby, Fabian Mack and Brent Fox. The show features a beautifulBollywood number with costumes and moves to match.

The show features levitation, transportation, jaw-dropping escapes, special effects and mind blowing disappearances. It's a must see show.
