Stepping into this charming high-end bistro, it will blow your mind to remember you're still in a tiny country town with a population of just 2,212.

It's a 40 min trip from Toowoomba or 2 hours from Brisbane - one that many obviously find well worthwhile, given tables here tend to book out well in advance.



The owners, Amanda and Larry Hinds, have poured their wealth of hospitality experience into creating something truly exceptional.

Housed within the lovingly restored walls of the 105-year-old Nolan's Block lifestyle precinct, this restaurant is a testament to their dedication and vision.

Here you'll be transported to the heart of Europe with the high-end cuisine inspired by the French Bistro tradition.



The restaurant takes pride in sourcing the finest Hampton micro-region produce, ensuring every dish is a testament to quality and flavour. The menu includes everything from scallops to duck to lamb. While an effort is clearly made to use local ingredients – such as Bunnyconnellen figs (11km down the road) and Pechey Distillery gin (6km) some do still travel from interstate.



Enhancing your dining experience is an impressive wine selection curated by a knowledgeable sommelier, offering a global array of wines and a special selection of Queensland vintages.

If you're looking for a refreshing libation, their cocktails crafted with locally sourced ingredients are sure to delight. The Madam Myrtille gin is specially made for the bistro at the Pechey distillery a few minutes down the road.



In the same building, you can pick up a delicious pastry or cake to take home from the patisserie and café, My Little Blueberry (open on Thurs to Sun from 8am to 2pm), or browse homewares, antiques and clothing in stores such as the High Country Collective and The Potager.
