Take advantage of the insanely gorgeous weather from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 October with the Myall River Festival at Tea Gardens.
Celebrate the weekend with free entertainment, lots of family fun, market stalls and heaps of activities on the foreshore with festivities for the communities of Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest. Read on for a sneak peek of the fantastic events lined up for the weekend.
Celebrations begin on Friday evening. So pack a picnic blanket, grab the kids, fill up your picnic basket with some goodies and head to the foreshore for some live music with the marvelous Brothers3 from 6pm to 8pm. Otherwise you can go to the Tea Garden Hotel Motel with their free jukebox from 7.30pm or indulge yourself with meals from the cafes, takeaways and restaurants. Whatever you choose to do, just make sure you sit back and enjoy the stunning views.
Saturday and Sunday fun experiences include camel and pony rides, amusements, market stalls, hook 'n' cook, wood chopping, boot scooting, sand art for kids, and loads more. Be part of the excitement and watch the great duck race, crab races, and drilling and screwing competitions; take part in the multi-generational walk, shared art project and multi-generational picnic; and have a ball watching dance displays.
What's more,witness the Myall River Festival Sail Past from 11am on Saturday at the Singing Bridge to Witt Island and back. If you're not sure what to expect, then think of it as a fashion parade ... for a boat!
Live music lineups include Brothers3 at Main Stage from 1pm and Johanna Hermara from 5.30pm, Ken Scott at the Northern Stage from 11am, and Michael Peta at Tea Garden Hotel Motel.
Whatever you do, don't miss out on the grand fireworks on Saturday night, which is guaranteed to be one amazing display.
