is one of my favourites in Brisbane. In terms of service, atmosphere, food, table settings, ambiance and decor, it ticks all the boxes making us come back again and again.

My Thai is located on the quiet Haig Road in Auchenflower. Despite the fact that it is situated in a largely residential around area, the restaurant is constantly packed.

Arriving at 5.30pm on the dot, we were greeted with smiles and got seated right away by our waitress. There was nobody else in the restaurant and that was one reason why I loved eating early, especially at a popular restaurant such as My Thai.

The dining room was dimly lit with a water feature on one side, large paintings on the walls and white flowing curtains on the windows. Each table was beautifully set and the restaurant was clean, comfortable and romantic. They also had outdoor seating on the front deck, which would be a great choice during warmer months.

After a few minutes of consultation, we decided to go with fish cakes, aussie cry, chicken penang curry and coconut rice.







My favourite dish here is aussie cry, a warm beef salad, which is marked by 6 chillies on the menu, denoting their hottest dish. It does have a punch to it, but not too hot for me to chow down! Slices of tender beef mixed with fresh aromatic herbs ... delicious every time!

The fish cakes, penang curry and coconut rice were also delicious. I especially loved the coconut rice for its subtle coconut fragrance and the pleasant hint of coconut flavour when you taste it. Just wonderful!

Another awesome experience here. With well-trained staff, efficient service, fantastic atmosphere and food that is bowl-scrapingly good, this place continues to be My no.1 Thai.
