My Strange Hero is about
Kang Bok-soo (played by
Yoo Seung-ho) who wanted to take revenge on
Seolsong High School, a prestigious private elite school. This school falsely accused him of committing violence and as a result, he was kicked out of school. Those who brought the accusations against him were his first love, a student in his class,
Son Soo-jung (played by
Jo Bo-ah), and another fellow student from the same school
Oh Se-ho (played by
Kwak Dong-yeon).
A few years later, even though Kang Bok-soo has now become an adult and has his own small company, nothing seems to go right for him. All he wants to do is to get revenge on Son Soo-jung who has now become a teacher at Seolsong High School and also Oh Se-ho who now is the principal of the school. Bok-soo decided to return to the same high school to get revenge on people who turned his life upside down.
At the school, Kang Bok-soo gets involved in a series of unexpected cases. Bok-soo enters Wildflower class, the school's lowest-ranked class. The class teacher for Wildflower class surprisingly is Son Soo-jung. Things got more complicated as Soo-jung was the one who was witness to the case that made Bok-soo expelled from school nine years ago.
Though initially chilly, Bok-soo rekindles his relationship with Soo-jung when they learn that their grudge was driven by a series of misunderstandings. Aided by his friends who also work at the school, Bok-soo slowly dismantles the corrupt atmosphere of Seolsong High School. In the end, Seolsong High School becomes a public school. Bok-soo received his high school diploma a year later and four years later, Bok-soo became a teacher at Seolsong.
Yoo Seung-Ho acting can also be seen in other Korean dramas, such as
Remember . My Strange Hero can be watched through streaming services.
