I recently spent time in the rural town of Tenterfield, just over the New South Wales border, specifically to enjoy the colours of Autumn and to greet the arrival of Winter. When you live in a sub-tropical climate like Brisbane, you tend to miss the changes in seasons, the Capital city of Queensland tends to be either warm or humid with very little in between.
Although lots of photos were taken few matched the colours produced by Mother Nature in the parklands, in the gardens, and along the winding country roads.
For some time now I have been following the social media of visual storyteller, Lara Flanagan, and admiring her photographs of Tenterfield and its surrounds, which made visiting her
My Notes From Gallery and Store located in the main street of Tenterfield a no brainer.
Lara describes herself on her website as "
loving to share moments of beauty, hope, joy, and inspiration" and her Gallery and Store at 234 Rouse Street reflects this with enchanting photos spread across all walls. I was fortunate to share the warmth and beauty when introduced to friendly shop dogs, Kevin and Rosie.
Do you remember the days when we would stop in a town that we were visiting for the first time and we'd buy a couple of postcards to remind us of our adventure?
My Notes From Gallery and Store has a range of items available to keep your memories of Tenterfield forever fresh in your mind including:
Greeting cards
Wood prints
Mounted prints
Postcards
Tea towels
Lara is often on the road as a freelance photographer so it is recommended to check the Facebook socials for store opening times
here. Further information is available
here.
Tenterfield is a welcoming town and one with a history that it is proud to share.
My Notes From Gallery and Store only adds to that welcome with Lara's passion shining through. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thanks, Lara.
