'My Lifestyle Choice' is the brainchild of Nep Thach, a self-proclaimed 'adventure junkie', who promotes the idea that regular exercise can greatly improve one's mental health and wellbeing.
Nep suffered from depression throughout his early 20s and attempted suicide. The incident left Nep with injuries but after recovery, he decided to study full-time study and enrolled at Nelson Institute of Technology.
He passed his chosen course, Diploma in Graphics and Multimedia, with flying colours. Nep describes the feeling of this achievement as 'addictive'; it was the start of a new life for Nep and he has not looked back since.
A job opportunity shortly followed, as well as a more active lifestyle. Nep developed an interest in kayaking and cycling and in turn has "driven the blue side of depression out the window". He now lives by the words of "Live Right, Live Life" and believes by embracing different experiences and implementing regular exercise into our lifestyles, we can feel better about ourselves and our lives.
With this new outlook, Nep has created 'My Lifestyle Choice', an organisation dedicated to offering one day tours in and around Melbourne.
Currently Nep is offering a One Day Adventure Tour consisting of mountain biking at Lysterfield Park and a walk up to the 1,000 steps climb at the Dandenong Ranges.
Soon two more tours will be offered: a One Day Surfing and Kayaking Tour and a One Day Caving & Abseiling Tour.
Each tour will be held in small intimate groups and are a great way to meet like-minded people.
Head to the website to register your interest and find out more about Nep; he also offers advice on a range of issues, including weight loss and training..
