An alien is sent to Earth to collect data on humans. It lands on the outskirts of a small desert town in America where it secretly observes a young man named Will and his family. When it is seen, the alien must come up with a plan to avoid being destroyed by its creator.

My Life Among Humans is a graphic novel published by Oni Press. It was written and illustrated by Jed McGowan.

It's a wholesome story, with almost no violence and no course language or sex scenes, making it suitable for younger readers (of ages about 10 and up). It wasn't marketed as a children's book but it seems more suited to children than adults since both the story and the art are very simple.

The robot is cute, probably because of its giant staring eye, so I felt sorry for it. This is probably the least creepy mind controlling alien story I've ever read.
