Matt Byrne’s smash hit comedy is back by popular demand
Matt Byrne's My Kitchen Fools comes to the German Club for one night only this Saturday 22nd of April, 2017. All tickets are priced $30!

The critically acclaimed My Kitchen Fools blows the lid off TV reality cooking shows and was a huge hit with audiences at this year's Adelaide Fringe festival!

Don't miss this very special opportunity to see 'Gordon Ramraid', 'Nigella's Awesome', 'Rachel Rayban' and 'Jamie Bolivar' back in the kitchen!

"We had a sellout success for five weeks at Maxim's Wine Bar at Norwood, so we're coming back in a bigger venue, to the home of schnitzels and beer!" said producer and director Matt Byrne.

"We had a fantastic run during the Fringe and I caught a lot of shows at the German Club and found it a great venue with loads of atmosphere. They were very keen to have us bring the show here to keep the Fringe feeling going, so My Kitchen Fools cooks on!"

The show, which celebrated 20 years of Byrne presenting Fringe comedies, was met with great critical success.

Critcs raved about the show with the Advertiser's four and a half star review saying: "Matt Byrne's cleverly written skits, songs and ditties, pokes hilariously at the cooking-show phenomenon ... it's dizzy stuff, commanding respect for this comedy crew."

Byrne said My Kitchen Fools turned up the heat on "the ridiculous array of celebrity chefs and the many TV shows they serve us up."

"We used to have cooking shows, now we have cooking CHANNELS!" he said.

"The show is hosted and judged by Gordon Ramraid (Byrne), Nigella's Awesome (Niki Martin), Rachel Rayban (Stefanie Rossi) and Jamie Bolivar (Marc Clement). But we also play the four teams who are fighting to win the right to run their own pop-up restaurant on Flinders Street" he says.

"We have Greek grandmother and grandson team, Glendi and Con Moussaka, Scottish BFFs Colin and Justin, the super bitchy Farkin Sisters Jacinta and Placinta and hippie throwbacks, Big Daddy Moontides and his Nimbin niece Moonbeam. They are joined by other Celebrity Chefs, including Poo with an H, Saggy Beer, Galiano Zumba and Hester Bloominheck."

Byrne said reality cooking shows gave people a chance for "15 minutes in the pressure cooker of fame. We get to know, love and hate these people who have no cooking skills but loads of ambition" he says.

"We sing and dance and give the audience an interactive taste of everything from elusive trouser snakes, to shucking great oysters, pheasant plucking, creamy cantaloupes and zero gravity cheese and greens. It's a feast of comic ingredients but like every successful reality cooking show, it's not about the food!"

This interactive theatre production is sure to be a lot of fun and will play the GC at the German Club at 223 Flinders Street in the city, on Saturday, April 22 at 7.30 p.m.

All tickets are $30.00 and General Admission bookings are available at or on 041 933 5966. You can book a pre-show meal on 8223 2359.
