My Goodness for home made, free range real good food all day
We walked into Station Arcade on Hindley St, and were greeted by a surprisingly airy and light shopping experience. Among the many casual eateries offering a diverse selection of quick meals is the warm and cheery welcome sign 'My Goodness' cafe. Offering a wide selection of whole food snacks and meals, and catering to all tastes and dietary preferences, I love the commitment of this cafe to provide good food for people on the run.

My Goodness is an ideal city spot to grab a quick, delicious bite to go, or if you have time, there are a few convenient seats and tables provided within the arcade for the cafe. On the day of our visit, I chose the Baked Potato special, which was packed full of Nuala's home-made coleslaw salad with hearty chunks of cabbage, cheese, sour cream, beetroot and pineapple. It was flavourful and satisfying. In fact, my husband stole it from me and devoured it swiftly. Luckily, I'd also purchased a 'Bada Bing' sandwich. The bread is wonderful, and the choice of fillings is terrifically tasty. Apart from being a delicious sandwich, the term Bada Bing will brighten your day! I also could not resist a green goddess smoothie, and my husband indulged in their mixed berry fruit crush. Both offered a yummy balance of flavourful goodness. We both sampled each other's beverages with a unanimous nod of approval, and a desire to return for more juicy goodness in the near future.

My Goodness Cafe was established 8 years ago by husband and wife team, Nuala and John. Nuala explained in her delightful accent, "When we moved to Australia, we decided to change direction in careers and work with our hobby & passion - food". This passion stems from a personal journey with Coeliac Disease. As a result, the best and freshest ingredients go into each artfully hand-crafted meal Nuala's patrons enjoy at My Goodness. The proud cook is a trained nurse with qualifications in dietetics who uses her appreciation for good health to guide choices of free range, and organic produce in their popular dishes.

Go in and enjoy great, genuine service from John, Nuala, and staff member Camilla. The vibe is authentic, cheerful, and easy going. The goal is to feed every body good food with gluten free, dairy free, and vegan options, alongside meals for those who simply love a delicious wrap or roll packed with home roasted, free range meats, and vegetables.
