Melbourne-based contemporary artist and teacher Nicole Van Dijk has painted portraits of 7 artists, each showcasing their stories and highlighting the beauty of their individuality and craft. The exhibition has been running since March and will continue till

Glenn Loughrey, Visual Artist - Heritage: Wiradjuri
John Young AM, Visual Artist - Heritage: Chinese and Dutch French Heritage
Saurabh Mishra, Musician - Heritage: India Australia
Nicole Van Dijk was a 2019 finalist in the Glover Prize and was selected as one of six artists for BP Australia's Centenary celebrations. Nicole's work focuses heavily on shadowing, dominating figures and layering of colours to illuminate emotions and depth. Each portrait in My Arts My Culture depicts what inspires the artists and what drives persistence with their respective art forms along with their individual stories.
