Muum Maam is the go-to place for quick Thai food in the heart of Sydney's Barangaroo area. Located a few minutes away from Wynyard station and Barangaroo ferry wharf this dining precinct is busy all week long. The name is Thai slang for "little glutton" and there is an older sister bistro in Surry Hills.



Weekday lunch service is 11am - 3pm when the quick street food style #head ">Tuk Shop menu is offered as well as #head ">set menus . The restaurant is casual and prides itself of cooking from scratch using fresh seasonal ingredients. The calamari with green beans and Thai eggplant was delicious and had a decent level of chilli heat. All diners in our party enjoyed their meals but were surprised with the level of heat and the speed at which we were served,



They are fully licensed offering cocktails as well as beer, wine and spirits. During the evening signature al a carte dishes are on the #head ">menu . There are a few dishes on the lunch menu suitable for vegetarians. You will find the service friendly, efficient and quick but they will not make changes to the menu such as substituting chicken for tofu in the yellow curry. The location is great for water views and people watching as this is a busy part of Sydney.
