This is a list of the top movies which will be released in June 2019 at cinemas all around Victoria.

[b] 1. AFTER [/b]
This movie is based on Anna Todd's best-selling novel about Tessa. Tessa is a clever and hardworking student in her first year of university. Her world changes when she meets the mysterious Hardin.

This movie will be released on 6th June and is a drama, romance story.



[b]2. MY BIG GAY ITALIAN WEDDING [/b]
Following on the success of the similarly named movie about a Greek wedding, this movie is an Italian comedy. In this happy movie of matrimony, happily engaged Antonio brings his fiance Paulo to the delightful old Italian village of his birth to meet his obstinate parents.

This will start on 6th June and is a comedy with coarse language.



[b]3. X-MEN 3D: DARK PHOENIX [/b]
This movie does not appeal to me however I have included it as I know it will be popular with the masses! Writer and long-time producer Simon Kinberg directs his own screenplay.

This movie will commence on 6th June and is an action, adventure, science fiction, and available also in 3D.



[b]4. SUPERPOWER DOGS [/b]
Chris Evans narrates this IMAX documentary that takes you around the world to meet remarkable dogs who save lives and more. You will follow a rookie puppy training to join one of the most elite disaster response teams in America. Plus you will meet many more dogs in this fascinating film where one dog is even trained to save endangered species in Africa.

This will be in cinemas on 13th June and is a documentary.



[b]5. WILD ROSE [/b]
Jesse Buckley is a single mother and ex-con from Glasgow who dreams of being a country singer. She has been dreaming of this for as long as anyone can remember but lives in Glasgow which is not like Nashville! She has just been released from prison and still wears an ankle monitor so her quest to become famous is not an easy one.

This movie will start on 13th June and is a drama with music.



[b]6. ANNA [/b]
Sasha Luss re-teams with her Valerian director, Luc Besson, to play a casual model who turns into a formidable government assassin. Luke Evans and Academy Award winner Helen Mirren co-star.

This will start in cinemas on 20th June and is an action and crime thriller.



[b]7. NEVER LOOK AWAY [/b]
Sebastian Koch reteams with his The Lives of Others director Florian Henckel von Donnersaward-nominatedward nominated German drama.

Kurt is a young art student who falls in love with a fellow student, Ellie. Ellie's father, Professor Seeb is a famous doctor, and is dismayed at his daughter's choice of boyfriend. He vows to break up the relationship. The turning point is that neither knows that they are already connected through a dreadful crime Seeband committed decades ago

This will start on 20th June and is a thrilling drama with English sub-titles.



[b]8. UNDER THE SILVER LAKE [/b]
Oscar nominee Andrew Garfield reads signs and clues that may or may not lead him to find a female who suddenly disappeared.

This will commence on 20th June and is a comedy, mystery and thriller.



[b]9. METOPERA: DIALOGUES DES CARMÉLITES [/b]
This is John Dexter's production of Francis Poulenc's opera from the Met's 2018-2019 season of live performances on the New York stage.

The opera is about a young member of an order of Carmelite nuns, who must overcome her timidity in order to be in the Carmelite nunnery.

This will commence on 27th June.

[b]10. YESTERDAY [/b]
No-one in the world can remember The Beatles except a battling musician. He uses this bizarre situation to his advantage in this story directed by Oscar winner Danny Boyle and from the writer of Love, Actually.

This will start on 27th June and is a comedy and fantasy.
