5 Must Listen International Artists

Music is universal and there are seriously good ones all over the world. They are no less terrific than the well-known, popular ones. They have skills, write good music, and have a solid fanbase, although the fanbase is smaller. It's our job to expand that fanbase! Here are some really good international musicians.

1. Depapepe-Japan
Depapepe consists of two Japanese guys, Miura Takuya and Tokuoka Yoshinari, playing acoustic guitars. Their songs have a common characteristic in which they sound very sweet, cheerful, yet calming. Up until now, I haven't been able to find any musician like them.

2. Barry Likumahuwa Project (BLP)-Indonesia**
The Indonesian band is formed by Barry Likumahuwa, probably the best bassist in the country. Their songs incorporate funk, catchy beats, and amazing syncopations and riffs, hereby creating the ultimate piece. Moreover, the bass playing is imminent, often being the gem of a song.



3. [re:jazz] (Germany)
[re:jazz] brings the original jazz to the listener. If you are a heavy jazz lover, then this band will be for you.



4. Clazziquai Project (South Korea)
Although not so known compared to the famous K-Pop boy/girlbands, Clazziquai Project still deserves the spotlight. Clazziquai's music is a combination of house music, electronic, and jazz--something not common in South Korea. In result, you get a music you want to dance to with beautiful chord progressions and jazzy melodies.



5. Dirty Loops (Sweden)
Dirty Loops is a YouTube star consisting of 3 music friends who make really great covers of famous songs. Their covers are so unique that the songs sound very different than the original. Their own album (with self-composed songs) is coming soon, and I'm giddy with excitement.
