Music Victoria Presents: Got Music? What Next?


Brunswick has earned its badge as the number one suburb for songwriters in Australia. With a new generation of musicians on the rise, the Brunswick Music Festival 2018 and Music Victoria are hosting Got Music? What Next? as part of the Brunswick Music Festival 's program of events. Held on Monday 5 March 2018 from 6.30pm to 8pm at the Brunswick Mechanics Institute, 270 Sydney Rd, Brunswick, this is a FREE EVENT. However, due to limited seats REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED .

There'll be a panel of speakers from 6.30-7.30pm, followed by Q&A and networking from 7.30-8pm. This event will be moderated by Chelsea Wilson, Vocalist, Songwriter, DJ, Producer, Music Programmer - Brunswick Music Festival and the panellists consist of -

  • Kate Duncan Creative Director, The Push
  • Paul Rigby Director, Zenith Records Pressing Plant
  • Simon Winkler Music Coordinator, Triple R
  • Tristan Ludowyk Label Director, HopeStreet Recordings
  • Vanessa Bassili Venue Booker, Howler

  • This is the event to ask those burning questions as an up and coming muso, and get industry insights into what to do with all the songs you've written and rehearsed. Join Music Victoria and connect with key people from the local scene to find out. You'll get practical advice from Brunswick based music industry experts on how to get airplay, how to pitch for support slots, how to book gigs in local venues, how to get your records pressed and more. These are the folks who are making music happen in your neighbourhood, so come along and be enlightened.
