Sing, dance, and act your way through a week of summer
If you are looking for a fun school holiday program for your kids, that helps them to explore the skills of music theatre, your search is over.
The five day program at Music Theatre Boot Camp is for primary aged students interested in music, drama, dance, and performance. From 9:30am until 3:00pm daily, the skilled and sensitive instructors tap into the children's creative spirits, and "awaken them to their own enjoyment of the music theatre art form". At the end of the week, a scene is performed for family and friends that each child plays a part in.
I'm looking forward to having my five-year-old and seven-year-old in this nurturing space, where the children feel safe and supported. The program aims to show the children how much they can achieve in a short time. The philosophy of the team is that, because the students are free to enjoy themselves and the process of learning, they are able to create and perform a complex, multi-character scene with stage directions, a rigorous dance routine, and a full song, in a relatively short amount of time.
"They get to experience themselves within a performing arts tribe and feel a sense of pride in achieving such a positive outcome in this creative community." -Judi Chaplin, co-owner
