St Leonards Vineyard dates back to 1860 and today, along with the All Saints Estate is owned by members of the very famous and highly respected Brown Brothers wine dynasty.
The property sits in its own idyllic micro-climate on a bend in the Murray River, benefiting from the slightly lower temperatures here which extend the growing season and allow optimum development of the fruit flavours. This combined with well drained sandy loam and clay soils make the fruit produced at St Leonards some of the best in this renowned wine-growing region.
Wine makers Nick Brown and Chloe Earl make the most of these conditions to produce handcrafted quality red, white, sparkling and fortified wines in the traditional manner.
Renowned for their flagship 'Wahgunyah' Shiraz St Leonards also produces excellent Chardonnay and some lesser known varieties including Lumiere, Cabernet Franc and Durif as well as a range of fortified wines.
