Sounds of music & beautiful sunsets at Mt Gravatt Lookout
Every second Saturday evening from 4.00pm to 8.00pm, live music can be enjoyed at The Lovewell Project Café at Mt Gravatt Lookout.
The area around Mt Gravatt Lookout was deemed a recreational reserve in 1893 by the colonial government. At that time, residents and voluntary labour constructed roads and a walking track up the mountain slope and in 1914, a large shelter was built at the top, which became a favourite spot for picnics. The current road, which leads to the top was built by unemployed labourers during the Depression and a small kiosk was established there in 1938. Today the lookout can be assessed by car or by hiking through the bush from Griffith University and Toohey Mountain Reserve.

On Saturday 5th January 2019, gather your friends, family and picnic rugs as you are invited to come to Mt Gravatt Lookout and listen to the great range of Brisbane's best artists while watching the sunset over Brisbane. The Lovewell Project Café will be open with a full dinner menu and beverage list if you decide to have a meal. The live music will commence at 6.00pm. No bookings are required.
The Lovewell Project Café was created from the past experiences of Bronwen Healy, founder of The Hope Foundation to raise awareness for women wanting to change their lives from addictions and/or sex industry problems. Her vision was to start a 'profit for purpose' social enterprise café where women could regain their confidence and skills.
Very disappointing, I can only write what the website says. I hope you found take-out that suited. We also try and provide a telephone number to ring in our articles in case readers require more information. Hopefully the music was to suit tastes as well and that you enjoyed your evening there.
