Sweet sounds of music
With birds chirping, children laughing and local bands playing, this makes for a perfect, beautiful Winter Sunday at Paradise Point.

Paradise Point Parklands will come alive again this Sunday. Three local bands with three very different sounds will take centre stage proudly supported by The City of Gold Coast.

Jahkaya, a reggae inspired band from New Zealand now based on the Gold Coast will rock the park with their unique sound rooted in reggae rhythms and blended with a variety of other styles including dub, ska as well as funk. Jahkaya will have you tapping your feet and swaying to the beat.

Beautiful harmonies and acoustic sounds will come from Acousticuted. Mostly a two piece with Bud Manthey on guitar, their music is heavenly influenced by Ed Sheeran, Pink Floyd and Crowded House. Acousticuted is about acoustic originals with great lead over loop and harmonies providing some awesome soothing tunes to listen to, relax and enjoy.

Eleea Navarro, a 20 year old singer/songwriter with a beautiful soulful voice will captivate and enthral you, taking you on a splendid journey through her original songs. For more info visit her Facebook page.

Come along and support these local musicians. With plenty of cafés and shops to choose from whether it is a much needed cuppa or freshly cooked fish and chips, it is not only a great excuse to get behind our local music scene but also to relax and enjoy the ambience and essence of Paradise Point.
