An afternoon to remember
Over the next month Paradise Point Parklands will again come alive with live and local bands taking centre stage.
On Sunday 10th May, Briggs and Co, the inspiring music duo of Kevin and Lucy Briggs will bring a piece of brilliant musical culture to Paradise Point with songs ranging from light jazz to rock, pop and high energy dance music. Also featuring will be Bella Patton and David De Vito. What better way indeed to spend Mother's Day afternoon.

On Sunday, 14th June 2015, Chris Palmer will wow the crowds with his soulful voice providing a unique interpretation on a large repertoire of popular cover songs and his own original compositions. Take a peak at his song list on his website and I'm sure there will be many songs there that you know and love. Also featuring on the day will be Jeanna Dearness-Dark and Jacob Lee.
Kids will just love this park with plenty of activities including: playgrounds, paths to ride skateboards, bikes and scooters and a swimming enclosure to splash around in. With cafes and restaurants across the road it is just perfect to grab a coffee, feast on fish and chips or purchase one of those mouth watering creamy gelatos with so many appetising flavours it is hard to choose a favourite.
I came along to the last "Music in the Park", packed a picnic lunch and rug and, with my man and dog in tow, had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon relaxing, chilling out and listening to the soulful sounds of Corey Hargreaves drifting across the park. It was just heaven.
Music in the Park is proudly supported by "City of Gold Coast" and "Allans Billy Hyde".
