I went a concert event called Music in the park by City of Joondalup. I got to Mawson Park where the concert took place at around 6.30pm and I was surprised by the large audience. As a person who visits a reasonable number of free events, it wasn't a usual thing. Even though there were many people, the City of Joondalup organised and controlled the event pretty well, with helpers for parking, an organised picnic area, kids activities and a well controlled stage.

The concert started on time at 6.45pm. The singer, Helen Shanahan sang and played acoustic guitar. She opened the concert successfully with calm but rhythmic folk songs. Her voice was colorful and well blended with still blue sky, green grass and laugher by lovely kids.

Next team was powerful indie-pop band Stillwater Giants. Their powerful and energetic sound held the audience tight. It wasn't matter who you are, gender and age, all enjoyed, listened and danced.

At last, Thelma Plum played last stage. As she said, she sang better than talked. Her voice was deep and strong. Even though I don't know anything about her music, I could see everyone was listening to her voice and was charmed.

It was a quality free event. I am looking forward to the next concert in Ocean Reef.
