The ever popular Music in the Gardens concerts will again be held as part of the Leura Gardens Festival this year and will showcase a wide range of talent and music from jazz to opera and what better surroundings to relax in than in the stunning Blue Mountains in spring.

The location for these concerts will be the Waldorf Leura Gardens Resort and there is no additional charge beyond the normal garden entry fee.

Each day of the festival, starting at 1pm, you can catch different acts, as follows:-

Sat 4th Oct - the Orpheus Quartet - a highly regarded string quartet that regularly perform in the Mountains as well as the Illawarra and Shoalhaven areas

Sun 5th Oct - the Blue Mountains Ukulele Group - a club of people that get together to share the joy of music

Mon 6th Oct - Penrith City Harmony Chorus - a men's 'barbershop' group

Tues 7th Oct - The David Clegg Easy Jazz Quartet - a distinctive style of jazz and blues

Wed 8th Oct - Scarratt and Watts - with musical styles that include classical, blues, jazz and Irish

Thurs 9th Oct - Silver Fox - a group of friends that sing 'barbershop' style whilst engaging the audience in sharing stories

Fri 10th Oct - Scarratt and Watts

Sat 11th Oct - the Blue Mountains Ukulele Group

Sun 12th Oct - The Mountains Opera Chorus – a group of amateurs and experienced singers with a range that includes ballads, folk songs and sacred music in addition to opera

Rest your feet and enjoy the music after checking out the spectacular gardens, of which there are 11 participating in the festival this year. An all gardens ticket will cost $25p.p. and a single garden ticket is $5p.p. (children 16yrs and under are free except at Everglades). Tickets can be purchased at the gardens or at Leura Mall and Festival Headquarters in Fitzroy St., Leura. If you want to save yourself driving around to each garden and trying to find parking each time, you can hop around on the gardens shuttle bus for $5p.p. all day.

As well as music and amazing gardens, you can also take in the art show or listen to horticultural talks and tips, and purchase plants. The festival is a registered charity with money raised going to the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital and other local medical organisations to assist in the purchasing of valuable equipment.

A beautiful day out and you're helping a good cause as well.
